Terms of Service

Last updated: August 24, 2026

By using MacroForging, you agree to these terms. They're written to be actually readable, not to bury anything - if something here is unclear, that's a bug, not a feature.

What this is

MacroForging is an independent, fan-made tool for visually building World of Warcraft macros. It generates macro text that you copy and paste into the game yourself - it doesn't log into your account, install anything, or touch your game client in any way.

MacroForging is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment, and all related logos and marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Spell, talent, class, and item data is pulled live from Blizzard's own Game Data API and belongs to Blizzard.

Beta / invite access

MacroForging is currently a private beta, reachable only with a one-time invite code. Access is granted at the operator's discretion and may be limited, changed, paused, or revoked at any time, for any reason, without notice - including access that's already been granted. This isn't a paid product and no promise is made about it continuing to exist in its current form, or at all.

No warranty

MacroForging is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In particular: spell and talent data comes from Blizzard's API live and can occasionally be incomplete, delayed, or wrong (Blizzard's own data isn't a fully browsable catalog by design - see the project's own documentation if you're curious why). Always glance over a compiled macro before relying on it in a raid, dungeon, or anywhere else it matters.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of MacroForging isn't liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, this tool - including anything that goes wrong in-game as a result of a macro it helped you build.

Acceptable use

Changes and termination

MacroForging may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without notice. These terms may also change; continuing to use MacroForging after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Intellectual property

MacroForging's own code, design, and written content are © 2026 MacroForging. World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment, and all associated trademarks, logos, and game data belong to Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. and are used here only to identify the source of that data, not to claim any affiliation with or endorsement by Blizzard.
